Environ Laboratories Expands Power Quality
Testing Capabilities November 2007
Environ has purchased equipment to meet the new requirements found in
Section 16 “Power Input” of RTCA/DO160F (due for publication later this
year), including the 270 Volt DC specifications.
We have significantly increased our capabilities in terms of voltage and
current available to not only meet these new requirements, but also to
allow us to handle very high voltage and/or high current tests. The
maximum voltage and current capabilities of our new system are:
AC:
-
500 Volts (per phase)
-
250 Amps (3 phase)
-
750 Amps (1 phase)
DC:
Our new system is extremely flexible, providing us the
capability to provide Single-Phase and Three-Phase AC power at virtually
any frequency. In addition, for DC power quality testing, we can
provide transients with extremely fast slew rates. Our new equipment
also increases our capabilities for Power Quality testing in accordance
with other commercial and military standards, such as MIL-STD-704 and
DOD-STD-1399.
This upgrade complements our expanded HIRF and
Lightning capabilities to offer unparalleled coverage of your EMI
testing needs for the Aerospace and Military industries.
