Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC)
Our full-service Electromagnetic
Compatibility (EMC) laboratory offers testing to the following US and
International aerospace and defense standards:
We can also provide:
Def-Stan 59-41
The United Kingdom's Ministry of Defense EMC standard, similar to
MIL-STD-461E.
Multiple-Burst and Multiple-Stroke
Lightning
Multiple-Burst and Multiple-Stroke Lightning (indirect effects) testing as
described in FAA Advisory Circular 20-136, verifies that your product will
survive or continue to operate during and after a lightning related event
involving the aircraft.
Environ Laboratories can perform
Single-Stroke, Multiple-Stroke, and Multiple-Burst indirect effects testing
according to RTCA/DO-160E, Boeing D6-16050-4, and other requirements.
HIRF Testing
High Intensity Radiated Fields (HIRF) result from high-power radio frequency
transmitters such as radio and television stations, radar, and satellite
uplink transmitters, and can effect the performance of aircraft electronics.
HIRF Testing simulates these intense threat levels (up to 7200 volts per
meter), ensuring your equipment operates safely without interruption,
failure, or malfunctions.
Environ Laboratories offers fully
automated HIRF testing according to AC/AMJ 20-1317 and RTCA/DO - 160D,
Change No. One.
