MECHANICAL TESTING Many items can benefit from testing their ability to withstand
tensile or compression forces.
Our Instron tester can supply up to 20,000 pounds of tension or compression to metals,
paper, plastics, fabrics, wire of all gauges, rubber, or any other specialized material.
In addition, we have developed devices which can supply up to 165,000 pounds of tension
for testing guy wires, high tension cables, or other heavy duty applications.
Environ possesses extensometers for precise readings of length changes, and a
specialized Instron chamber which allows us to vary temperature along with tensile or
compressive forces. We have custom Instron jaws to handle fabrics or peel tests, and load
cells capable of measuring minute as well as heavy forces.
